I'm 35, youngest out of 5 and born in the states. I went to the Philippines 3 years ago. I don't know how to speak Tagalog but I do understand the Language. My cousins there were trying to make fun of me but I knew what they were saying. They were impressed that even though I was born in the states, I was the "typical" Balikbayan. My parents raised me in the traditional customs. And I think by them doing that, It makes me the person who I am. I'm learning to speak Tagalog fluently.

I'm Filipino and now I'm living in Canada...some of my filipino canadian friends are trying to be WHITE which is really annoying.....they don't care about their original culture...they're stereotype!!
